Field Superintendent visits Districts in Aba Field

The Aba Field Superintendent, Pastor SOB Amaogu (Apostle)  concluded his 2010  visits  to Districts in Aba Field  with a visit to Mbawsi District on 28th November 2010.

He was gladly welcomed by the District Pastor who is also the Mbawsi  Area Superintendent and  Aba Field Deputy Superintendent, Pastor S.O. Nelson, all the District Staff, Elders, Deacons, Deaconesses, Men,Women, Youths and Children to the "The Mount of Revelation" District.

As a down- to - earth teacher he is, Pastor SOB Amaogu, an apostle in the body of Christ, painstakingly and passionately  appealed to his listen to hasten up and make peace with God as the time is far spent. Reiterating that it is the divine will of God for all His Children to be saved, as He has set a day He is going to rapture them, present them to His Father, reward them  and come back to reign with them for 1000years on earth, after the devil has been bound by only one angel (Rev. 20:1-3).

He further said, that it is unfortunate that people today while praying bind the devil, describing this act  as  a lot of hocus pocus that is borne out of ignorance and misguided zeal.
The Word of God he said gave no justification for this practice. None of the apostles utilized this approach and no Scripture commands Christians to practice it.  Observing that it is indeed  an extra-biblical performance, arising from the desire of the flesh to look committed and powerful in the service of God. Christians  he added are told to "resist the devil" but never to bind him. Resisting the devil is done by putting on the whole armor of God, as Paul describes it in Ephesians 6.

Explaining Matthew 18:18, he said "The meaning of this verse in context with the surrounding verses (before and after it) teaches us church discipline and order.
The Lord was speaking about how to deal with unrepentant brothers and sisters not about “binding”Satan, Demons, or their activity. There is not even a hint of this type of practice  in the  Scripture. Jesus is saying that believers can have confidence that when they justly excommunicate someone on earth, that they are fulfilling the will of God which has already been determined in heaven. This should give them confidence in what they are doing. So in this context, binding and loosing carry the idea which corresponds to our modern judicial language of declaring someone guilty (binding) or innocent (loosing). The court decision does not make someone guilty or innocent, but simply determines whether his past acts violate or conform to God’s heavenly standard.
Therefore the authority to “bind and to loose” had to do with, the permitting or forbidding anything that was to be determined by a doctrinal decision. This act he continued shows a high level of ignorance of the word of God. He stated that the problem of many so called Christians all over the world is that they do not understand the difference between Satan or  Devil and his agents called Demons or unclean spirits.
He further stressed that Jesus gave all true believers (all the saved ones) authority over the demons or unclean spirits (Matthew 10:1-3) and not authority over the Devil, not to even slander him (Genesis 3:15; Romans 16:20; Zechariah 3:1,2; Jude vs 9,10 ;Rev. 20: 1-3).

He concluded that anyone not saved today will have himself or herself to blame because no one can claim that he has not heard the word of God. 2 Corinthians 6:2 (King James Version)

For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succored thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
The teachings were projected on a screen; live video clips were also used to illustrate what will happen on the day of rapture and thereafter.
